Our Programs

Corning United is pleased to offer year-round soccer opportunities to youth soccer players in our community. Our mission is to foster a love of the game while developing confidence and skills.

Winter Indoor Skills Development

Our winter skills season runs January through March. It is designed to complement our travel seasons with increased focus on speed, passing and gamesmanship. Sessions will place players in similarly-skilled age groups for drills and scrimmages. Evaluations will be held during the first week to determine placement.

The session culminates in club-wide participation in one local tournament. Some coaches offer additional tournament opportunities.

Spring Travel Season

Spring soccer serves players U8-U19. Practices typically begin in mid-April. The season is eight weeks. Families can anticipate two practices on weeknights at Kinsella Park or Gang Mills Fire Department fields. One or two games a weekend will be played within two hours of Corning.

Corning United Soccer Club is growing at a fantastic rate. We have grown in numbers and in quality of play. The club is producing more players who are ready to compete at higher levels and is drawing more and more players from our region.

The club is also in the process of re-establishing teams in premier leagues, after an extended absence from this increased level of competition. We anticipate continuing to field teams in the Broome County Soccer Association, as well as fielding U12 and U14B premier teams.

These factors have made it necessary to hold tryouts at certain age groups.

The club’s intention is to ensure that every player is appropriately placed with similarly skilled peers. The club is also training our coaches at a higher level to ensure qualified coaches lead each team.

Our travel teams U8 and up are geared for experienced players who have completed at least two seasons of and have excelled in recreational play in leagues like Chemung Valley Soccer Association (CVSA) and Corning YMCA. Players just starting out will have a better experience first playing in a rec league.
